Bikesafe is a free informal police-led project to get the safety message over to bikers.

To take part, all you have to do is go along to a safety presentation where the police will talk about bike safety, including theoretical ways of improving your skills. The presentation is followed up by an Assessed Ride with an advanced trained Police Motorcyclist. There's no pressure, and you'll be given hints and tips on how to improve your biking skills.

No matter what size your bike is or how long you've been a biker, you'll get something out of it for sure.

Scooter and moped riders can even have a specific city based Bikesafe course to help them fine-tune their skills.
