MORNING AFTER...

The problem of hardcore drink-driving continues to be associated with male motorists aged 17-34.

  • 3,000 people are killed or injured each year in drink-drive crashes.
  • More than 1 in 5 deaths continue to involve drivers who are over the drink-drive limit.

Morning after motoring
Despite the anti drink-driving crusade of the past, driving after drinking the night before - so called 'morning after motoring' is becoming a growing concern.

Young drivers are more likely to drive the next morning knowing that they've been drinking heavily the night before. The problem is linked to stronger alcohol now being available, including 'premium' lagers, wine usually being 11-13% proof and confusion about the amount of alcohol contained in ready-mixed drinks and alcopops.

NEVER EVER DRINK AND DRIVE.
